Continuing education also enables them to serve their clients as best as they can. They can offer their clients the latest products and services available and help fit their individual needs. Clients are happy because they know their agent knows what they are talking about when they are giving them advice. The insurance companies are happy because the insurance agent is acting ethically and making the right decisions. Everyone wins when the agent completes their required continuing education training. Courses can be done online or in a classroom and usually do not take more than a couple of hours. Check with your state or an approved provider for a list of required courses and your compliance deadline. Try not to be late or the Department of Insurance can suspend or even revoke your license. That is of course the worst case scenario.
